Confidences Rosé – Brut – Millésime 2009

Cote des Bar in the Arce valley is the other top place in Champagne. It is chiefly planted with Pinot Noir in terroirs offering finesse and freshness. Confidences arose from a collective reflection about the identity of the wines in this region. The location’s growers have selected the best parcels to make a special product, first of all elaborated as a white wine and then as a rosé. The growers of Chassenay d’Arce are proud to produce these two exceptional wines, boasting plenty of charm and elegance. Confidences Brut was noted 16.5 and Confidences Rosé 16 on in March 2015.

  • GRAPE VARIETY : Pinot noir 84,5 %, Chardonnay 11,1 %, Pinot blanc 4,4 %
  • VITICULTURE : All members use the same carefully monitored growing techniques. Reasoned agricultural practices are implemented.
  • VINIFICATION : The grapes derived from selected parcels are transformed according to traditional Champagne winemaking procedures: regulated stainless-steel vats and malolactic fermentations partially blocked. Before bottling, 12% red wine and 5% bled wines coming from the Domaine’s grapes complete the blending. Limited dosing (7 g/l) allows this Champagne to fully express its complexity.

  • TASTING NOTES : Bubbles in the shape of refined and delicate pearls. Coral-pink color.
    Discreet nose of wild strawberry. Sweet blond tobacco and aromatic herbs with a touch of vanilla.
    Round and fruity on the palate, spicy, underscored by elegance and freshness, long and persistent crispness associated with peppery and fruity notes.
    This Champagne can be served with a refined meal.
  • FOOD PAIRING : Aperitif, lambs shank, duck breast with crushed pink pralines.


Chassenay d’Arce

Located in Ville sur Arce (10), the winery of Cote des Bar is the most important co-op in Champagne, excluding the entities bringing together a number of cellars. Founded in 1956 by over 60 growers, it celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2016.
