Estandon Légende 2014 – Côtes de Provence
An age-worthy rosé : over the past few years, a few pioneers in Provence have dared to propose rosés that are quite different from the fresh and young wines, generally associated with the region’s success. Age-worthy rosés are their specialty! Estandon Légende 2014 is the product of a careful selection of parcels from the terroirs of Flayosc and Sainte Victoire. Elaborated in new barrels and vats out of slightly over-ripened grapes, this wine expresses a vast array of notes associated with Grenache, Syrah and Rolle. After maturing for a period of 8 months, 5 small vats of wine are blended, in view of creating a unique well-balanced age-worthy rosé, geared to fine food pairing.
GRAPE VARIETY : Grenache, Rolle
VITICULTURE : Parcel selection and harvest at perfect maturity.
VINIFICATION : Elaborated from a blend of 5 wines, that have been partly fermented and matured in French oak barrels for a period of 8 months. No malo-lactic fermentation.

TASTING NOTES : Bright and luminous pink orange color.
Intense and original oaky aromas, unveiling apple-quince jam, fresh walnut, dried apricot, vanilla-flavored caramel, and a hint of earl grey and Mediterranean scrubland. The overall impression is that of a suave and crisp wine.
At once creamy and fresh, the palate is harmonious, and ends with a spicy finish. This rosé can be served with refined meals.
FOOD PAIRING : melon with local ham, grilled sea bream, chicken tajine, caramelized pork spare ribs, veal cutlet in a creamy sauce, comté or parmesan cheese.
