Le Cellier des Princes 2016 - Châteauneuf-du-Pape rouge

  • TERROIR : clay and selica soil and pebble stones.
  • GRAPE VARIETY : Grenache 90 %, Mourvèdre 5 %, Syrah 5 %
  • VITICULTURE : vendanges manuelles / manual harvesting.
  • VINIFICATION : Destemmed, 20–day vatting period, release and daily pumping over. Temperature between 28°C and 30°C. Maturing 10 to 12 months in vats.
  • TASTING NOTES : Garnet red.
    Intense and fragrant aromas, displaying strawberry jam, licorice menthol, cocoa and mild spices of vanilla-cinnamon-nutmeg and grey pepper.
    Ample and spicy on the palate, good balance between the tannins and acidity, nice lengthy peppery-vanilla aromas, plenty of finesse.
  • FOOD PAIRING : beef and carrot stew, shepherd’s pie, Indian or Creole cuisine, saint-nectaire cheese.
