TERROIR : Clay and calcareous soil at Lieu-Dit Le Pin, in Anglade. Its situation at the top of the hillside ensures optimum sunshine exposure, good drainage and moderate hydric stress.
GRAPE VARIETY : Merlot 100 %
VINIFICATION : Traditional winemaking. The wine undergoes a pre-fermentation cold maceration, followed by an alcoholic fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, followed by a post-fermentation maceration with a delestage. After a 30-day vatting period, the wine is racked and placed into barrels (100% new French oak), where it is matured for 15 months.

The cooperative winery was created in 1974. At present, it is the largest producer of French appellation wines and the number one producer of Cotes de Bordeaux. It brings together 450 growers, representing 4,000 hectares of vines and 70 chateaux.
